This one is a spare. I had already owned a Rada Bread Slicing Knife at a local small store. My first one has a metal handle, but it is the only difference. They are perfect for slicing bread. Best one I have had yet. Having a spare is nice. After 2 years, the first one cuts beautifully.

Best bread knife I have owned ! Would be nice to have it 2 inches longer but it’s no big deal and it cuts through bread so smooth!

Nice knife. The blade is stiff enough for straight cuts and the fine teeth make a much smoother cut than my other knives with wider serrations. The only improvement that I could ask for is a14″ blade so my strokes could be longer with the slicing guide.
I opted for the Rada knife because it is USA made and the great warranty.I just wish they made a longer blade.

I like the overall feel and handling of the knife,
I do find that when used in conjunction with the slicer, it seems just a bit too short. A couple more inches would be a huge improvement.
I have pulled the knife too far towards me more than once, which means it will not stay in the slot on the other side. Not a huge issue, but still an annoyance. I have to reposition the knife and try again. Probably something that will improve once I have used the slicer more, but I don’t think this should be a requirement, given that the knife is sold with the slicer.
Thus far, overall I’ve been pleased with the knife. Seems sharp, cuts well with the exception noted above (not the knife’s fault really). I haven’t used it much as of yet, so do not know how well it will hold up.

I have owned RADA knives for at least 30 yrs…Christmas gift from Mom. My Rada bread knife is the perfect companion to America’s Slicer.
