Q: What is the plastic bread stop used for?
A:
A bread stop is included with America’s Bread Slicer and we offer the bread stop for purchase separately for customers who have lost their stop through the years. We have learned through our customer feedback that there has been some confusion as to the purpose of the bread stop and some have been concerned that the stop might be too “flimsy”. The bread stop is made from a very tough, flexible plastic material. It’s purpose is to simply provide a stop (if desired)  to line up the loaf before starting your cut. To slice: Place your loaf in the slicer with the end of the loaf to be cut NEXT to the bread stop (no need to force the loaf against the stop), hold the loaf and cut. Although the bread stop will not break, if pressure is applied it will flex some with out causing any problem to the stop.

Q: Can I cut round loaves?
A:
Yes, simply cut the round loaf in half and place the cut side face down on the cutting surface and cut normally.

Q: Can I slice a 2 lb loaf?
A: Yes, 2 lb loaves will easily fit. Our slicer is made slightly larger than others to allow for larger loaves.

Q: Does your slicer slide around on the counter?
A: No, we have attached rubber “feet” to keep the slicer in place while slicing.
