Included with America's Bread Slicer is a durable bread stop, available separately for customers who've misplaced theirs. Some confusion has arisen about its purpose and concerns about perceived flimsiness. Crafted from tough, flexible plastic, the bread stop is designed to align the loaf before cutting. To slice effectively, place the loaf next to the stop, avoiding force to prevent uneven slices. The optional bread stop won't break under normal use, and users can alternatively use a bread knife between the slots for alignment.
Yes, 2 lb loaves will easily fit. Our slicer is made slightly larger than others to allow for larger loaves.

Because America’s Bread Slicer is designed to accept larger as well as smaller loaves, a 10″ or longer knife blade is required.
To clean America’s Bread Slicer simply brush off bread crumbs with dry cloth. Water not recommended.
America's Bread Slicer offers the flexibility to slice thick or thin pieces. The knife guide slots are divided: half for 1/2 inch slices and the remaining half for 3/8 inch slices. Simply position the loaf at the end that aligns with your preferred thickness. For larger slices simply cut in every other slot. For instance, using every other 1/2 inch slot will double the size, resulting in 1-inch pieces.

Efficient and Compact Bread Slicer
After purchasing a bread maker for my daughter, the next obvious question was, how to evenly slice the bread? I researched bread slicers and chose the America’s Bead Slicer. I was also giving this as a Christmas gift, but being November and wondering about the return policy, I contacted SierraBASE and they responded promptly, there is no problem returning the product, if need be. After receiving the slicer in the mail I was very impressed by the quality. My daughter will love her gift and because it collapses for easy storage, it won’t take up much space.
