Great slicer, minor slice size issue
I have been eyeing this for a year and used some of my Christmas money to buy it. I like it very much, from the ease of handling and storage to the sturdiness of the slicer. The only thing I would like, and I think I’m probably in a minority here, is for the thin slices to be slightly thinner. I’m fixing sandwiches for small people, and even the thin slice makes a pretty sizeable sandwich! But I am not sorry I have this and I use it EVERY day!

This is the best bread slicer ever! I had an old plastic one before. This slicer, however, will last for years! The wood will not splinter or leave pieces on my bread slices, and I like how thin the bread can be sliced. Also, this one is so very compact and easy to store! An outstanding purchase.

Effortless slicing with convenient storage
Before using America’s slicer I had a hard time cutting uniform slices. This tool makes it so easy. The convenience of being able to fold it and store it away is worth the extra cost. The 1/2 inch side is perfect for sandwiches and 3/4 side for toast. If I want it larger I just slice it myself.

Seems to be well thought through, and a quality product. I like having the two options for slice sizes. Stores quickly and easily when I am done. I am slicing slightly smaller loaves than the 9″ pan. No issue positioning or holding the loaf while I am slicing.

I make a loaf of bread every week. Slicing it evenly was a chore. Two weeks ago I was slicing a loaf of bread and sliced the top of my thumb in the process. That was enough to send me onto the Internet to find a bread slicer. Found America’s Bread Slicer and never looked back. The first time I used it I realized my bread knife wasn’t long enough. I have tried several bread slicing guides and while some have been very good, America’s Bread Slicer has provided all the best features into one guide. The only thing I had to change was purchasing a longer knife – I recommend at least a 12 inch. I especially like the fact that it can be folded and put away in a drawer. At first I thought the price a little high but as I make my bread scratch (I don’t remember ever seeing a bread machine) I appreciate the savings of even slices and no waste. As a Male in my 70’s with failing eye sight, I do appreciate the uniformity.

Perfect for homemade bread slicing
This was the first slicer I bought basically from the reviews. We started making our own bread and this is a great unit to use to make uniform slices for the whole loaf. We purchased an extra stop to keep the loaf from moving and keeps all slices together making it easy to bag after cutting. Folds up easily and takes up very little space in storage.

I got your slicing guide today and it is really nice. I wish I had measured my old bread knife because it’s only 8″. So now I’m ordering the 10″ bread knife to keep from pulling the blade through and ordering the bread bags (the only bread bags I can get around here are only 14″ long. I love to see a local company producing a quality product.
