About The Auto-Lock System

The bread slicer’s locking system is automatic with no assembly required. To set up, simply rotate the spring loaded knife guides into place; the built in springs will push them into the locking notch and secure them for precise slicing. Once locked in, the knife guides are in place and ready to use. To unlock, simply push the knife guides out of the lock slot and fold them under when done. With 10 slots for thicker slices and 10 slots for thinner slices you can customize each cut to your liking. Simply line up your loaf with the desired slice size and use the bread stop for extra precision. Just hold the loaf in place and slice smoothly. For extra thick slices just skip a slot and you’ll get the perfect oversized cut. For sandwiches, toast or specialty loaves this spring loaded, automatic locking system gives you uniform slices every time.

    I make a loaf of bread every week. Slicing it evenly was a chore. Two weeks ago I was slicing a loaf of bread and sliced the top of my thumb in the process. That was enough to send me onto the Internet to find a bread slicer. Found America’s Bread Slicer and never looked back. The first time I used it I realized my bread knife wasn’t long enough. Back to the Internet and bought a 14″ bread knife. Overkill yes but, I love it. Made a loaf of bread yesterday and got out the new slicer . Sliced the whole loaf in less than a minute and no missing fingers! Bigger really is better.

    I have tried several bread slicing guides and while some have been very good, America’s Bread Slicer has provided all the best features into one guide. The only thing I had to change was purchasing a longer knife – I recommend at least a 12 inch. I especially like the fact that it can be folded and put away in a drawer. At first I thought the price a little high but as I make my bread scratch (I don’t remember ever seeing a bread machine) I appreciate the savings of even slices and no waste. As a Male in my 70’s with failing eye sight, I do appreciate the uniformity.

    This was the first slicer I bought basically from the reviews. We started making our own bread and this is a great unit to use to make uniform slices for the whole loaf. We purchased an extra stop to keep the loaf from moving and keeps all slices together making it easy to bag after cutting. Folds up easily and takes up very little space in storage.

    I got your slicing guide today and it is really nice. I wish I had measured my old bread knife because it’s only 8″. So now I’m ordering the 10″ bread knife to keep from pulling the blade through and ordering the bread bags (the only bread bags I can get around here are only 14″ long. I love to see a local company producing a quality product.

    Great to use with our homemade bread. Can get nice even slices, thick or thin. You can use two slots on the thin side to get a nice thicker slide too. Well made, easy to use and store.

    I’ve had other bread slicing guides I’ve used over the years and none of them compare to how nice this unit is to use. Having the choice of two different thicknesses is marvelous. I was also very glad to be able to buy a product that was made in the US. You should be very proud of the high quality product you produce for a more than reasonable price.

    My Wife has a problem making straight cuts. Problem solved. End of story. Drop the mic. But in all seriousness, this thing is awesome. No I don’t work for the company. But I appreciate made in the USA and things made well. VERY easy to clean. BUT BEST OF ALL easy to store. We looked at several others. They were bulky, took up lots of space and cheaply made. Could not find in a store so took a chance and ordered. VERY happy we did. Get the knife. We have been using this brand of knives for years. Oh some say you have 2 option sizes for bread. Actually you have more. Use every other guide or every third guide or as many as you want. Thus creating multiple sizes.You WILL LOVE the Slice Guide. Guaranteed. Not by me…but them.

    Hello, I just had to drop you a note to let you know that my husband and I just love the new slicer. We received it today and it works beautifully. We had a small cutting board that we put on top of the mounted one to protect it. I have severe RA and cannot handle things well this allows me to cut bread for our meals with little effort and they are perfect every cut. Blessings to you for such a wonderful product. We could not be more pleased.

    We live in the UK and whilst on holiday in the USA we purchased America’s Bread Slicer. Cutting the bread that we bake in our bread maker has always been a problem. Freshly baked bread is soft and it is difficult to cut even slices. Having just returned. to the UK we have tried the slicer with two loaves and it has solved the problem instantly. (we did purchase a 30cm knife which is easier to use). Thank you for solving our problem with such a simple but brilliant device

    We have had our slicer for sometime. Enjoy making all of our own home made breads. This slicer makes it easy to slice the bread. We have found that by putting one of their bread guards on each end of the loaf it is easier to slice the bread evenly. This is one of the most “hassle free” tools we have in our kitchen.

    I tried a bamboo one from Amazon. It had a crumb tray that was broken upon arrival. Cheaply made. Staple came apart. I tried slicing some bread and the wood slats felt flimsy and splintery. The mechanism to fold down the slides also felt cheap. Returned the product for a refund. Heard about America’s Slicer. I decided to try it even though it was more expensive. I like that it’s made in the USA. I’m very glad I found this product. It’s sturdy and the wood feels solid. This is a keeper.
